Longtime NJBIA member Saiber LLC on Tuesday revealed the addition of Marc D. Freedman as member and Steven M. Friedland as counsel in a relocation that strengthens the Florham Park law firm's Business Services and Employment practices.

Both lawyers join Saiber from the shop company Freedman & Friedland LLC of Hasbrouck Heights, bringing years of experience in corporate and work law, especially within the staffing market.

Freedman, a skilled corporate attorney, signs up with the firm's Business Services group as a member. With a comprehensive background in work and business law and mergers & acquisitions, he brings deep knowledge of the legal and company issues impacting staffing companies and other markets.

He formerly served as general counsel and senior executive officer for one of the biggest public companies in the temporary work sector. His wide-ranging experience consists of corporate acquisitions, securities compliance, labor relations, protecting companies in discrimination matters and class actions, limiting covenant lawsuits, risk management, and strategic consulting for senior executives.

Freedman is currently basic counsel to the New Jersey Staffing Alliance and previously served in similar functions with national staffing associations.

Friedland will sign up with the firm as counsel in the Litigation practice group. With a on work law and lawsuits, he brings over 20 years of experience protecting employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters before federal and state courts and administrative companies, as well as representing companies in business lawsuits.

He likewise regularly counsels clients on day-to-day work environment matters and drafts different contracts, policies, and compliance materials. Previously, Friedland practiced employment and labor law at two firms with a nationwide presence.
